Adah Sharma's film Bastar: The Naxal Story, directed by Sudipto Sen, hit the big screen on March 15, 2024. Unlike their last project The Kerala Story, Adah and Sudipto's latest film failed to work wonders at the box office. Two months after its theatrical release, Bastar was released on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. To keep the audiences hooked on the storyline of the movie, the streaming platform has been sharing posters and promos of Bastar. The new post of Adah's film sheds light on the tactics she uses to defeat Naxals.

Bastar poster ft. Adah Sharma is out now!

ZEE5 dropped the new poster of Bastar: The Naxal Story on their Instagram handle. The poster highlights that Adah as IPS Neerja Madhavan is one officer who is fighting against the system. In the IG posted by the streaming platform, it is mentioned that the actress uses 'saam, daam, danda, bhed' to defeat the Naxals in the movie. If you haven't seen the new poster of Bastar yet, take a look at it right below:

The caption to the aforementioned post reads, "Saam, Daam, Danda, Bhed. Watch Neerja Madhavan use it all to defeat Naxals. Bastar, inspired by true events, streaming now, only on ZEE5. Available in Hindi and Telugu (sic)."

For the uninitiated, Adah's film Bastar is inspired by the true event of the Naxalite–Maoist insurgency in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh. The political thriller has been backed by Vipul Amrutalal Shah. Apart from Sharma, the star cast of the movie includes Indira Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Raima Sen, Shilpa Shukla and many others.

Adah Sharma on the impact of Bastar

While talking about her film Bastar with Pinkvilla, Adah Sharma stated the film's story should scare the audience. Revealing the reason behind it, the actress said, "It shouldn't just touch you; it should scar you, it should shake you up as would not just me being an actor but any other girl, any other person from our country who has patriotism in their hearts, who loves their country. If you say 76 of our jawans were brutally killed by people who lived in our country, then it should shake you up a lot."
