Benedict Cumberbatch has spoken about his next Marvel Studios film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, saying that being involved in live-action filming and then seeing the end product on the big screen is such a transformative experience.
The actor who plays the titular role told IANS that he believes some of the footage people have seen in the trailer spots is absolutely exquisite. In a handful of sequences, one travels across many other universes, which he believes will be absolutely mind-blowing and cause a revolving-door audience. Cumberbatch believes it's due to the fact that they're kept together by a lot of real-life set design and surroundings.
The actor continued saying that he loves how huge everyone's imaginations grow and how they manage to ally with him as Strange, thinking about something 20 floors high truly being that and bearing down on him and hurling a bus at him. Cumberbatch called it enchanting.
The English actor went on to say that Strange is just a big old fan with a bunch of people with their hair all over the place on the day he carves that monster in half. And one is thinking to themselves, "How is this going to work?" However, one simply immerses themselves in the moment, and seeing the final product is such a transformative experience for an actor. Being a part of something live-action and then seeing the end product on the big screen is such a transformative experience.
Cumberbatch also said that one doesn't know what movie they are in until they have seen it in a theatre. It's magical, and the actor is looking forward to the excitement. On the other hand, on the day, one simply immerses themselves in it with imagination and a childlike sense of play, letting go of their self-consciousness since what they are attempting to do, achieve, or pretend to do is silly. In the end, they make it appear quite cool.
On May 6, Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
