Pratik Gandhi is gearing up for his Bollywood debut as a lead in Bhavai. The upcoming film, which was earlier titled Ravan Leela, has been dealing with a barrage of controversies due to its former name. After a lot of negative reactions and accusations of hurting religious sentiments by netizens, the makers changed the name of the movie. Meanwhile, the Vitthal Teedi actor shared his thoughts on the whole fiasco.

In a recent interview with News18.com, the Scam 1992 actor mentioned that the makers took the decision to change the name of the film from Ravan Leela to Bhavai, to convey the message to the audience that there is nothing in the film that would harm their ‘religious sentiments.' Furthermore, he added that the film has nothing to do with Lord Ram or Ravan and it’s just a story of two actors falling in love while portraying different characters in a play. “Merely looking at the trailer, some people have created their own stories and it is based on their perception,” he added.
