Ranveer Singh and Johnny Sins recently collaborated on an advertisement and it instantly went viral on the internet. Actress Bhavna Chauhan also featured alongside the two in that ad. After it was shared on social media, many people criticised the ad for making a mockery of TV shows. For the uninitiated, the ad had a backdrop of a typical Indian TV daily soap and depicted a dispute between a joint family. However, Bhavna stated that the intention was always to make it look like a normal TV show scene.

In an interview with India Today, Bhavna Chauhan spoke about the criticism her ad with Ranveer and Johnny faced for making fun of TV shows. "They are marketers and understand the ripple effect of such things," she said. The actress added that the original script was funnier however the makers altered it accordingly.

"The intention has always been to make it look like a normal scene from a TV show so that it's viewed casually by everyone at home," revealed Chauhan. Bhavna added that the makers wanted the topic to be normalised. For those who are unaware, the ad was about a medical supplement that enhances men's sexual health.

Bhavna Chauhan reacts to Rashami Desai's criticism

Meanwhile, Rashami Desai criticised the ad and stated that it felt like a humiliation to all the people working in the television industry. Rashami is also a noted TV actress. The actress added that the ad felt like a 'slap'. When asked to comment on Desai's criticism of her ad, Bhavna mentioned, "Koi mazak nahi udaya hai (No one made fun of it)."

While Rashami critcised the advertisement, several noted personalities like Tanmay Bhat, Arjun Kapoor, Nakuul Mehta, Ankush Bhaguna, Karan Kundrra, Yashraj Mukhate, and others had amusing reactions to it. 

This ad, featuring Ranveer, Johnny, and Bhavna, was written by Tanmay Bhat, Devaiah Bopanna, and their team.
