Bhushan Kumar confirms Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan, to go on floors in 2024

After 15 years, the popular comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, received a sequel in 2022 with Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu in the lead roles. Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, one of the year's greatest moneymakers, acquired the label 'blockbuster' for its huge success at the box office. The horror comedy performed well on television and online, demonstrating the audience's acceptance of the genre. There have been several stories on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 over the past six months. Now producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed the release date of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan headlining it. 

Bhushan Kumar told Pinkvilla, “We are definitely making Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan. We are right in the process of figuring out the gap that we need between part 2 and part 3. The expectations are sky high and we are now thinking on how to take the franchise forward. At the moment, we are jamming on the script. All the stakeholders are clear – the idea of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 needs to be big and unique.” 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa is an established franchise now, therefore there will be anticipation around it, the producer continued to explain his thought process. He then said that they are searching for a new idea in the same way that Drishyam 2 was an original thought. 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is presently scheduled for a 2025 release, and production is anticipated to begin in the second half of 2024. Additionally, Bhushan and Kartik will collaborate on the third instalment of the romantic musical Aashiqui 3, which is scheduled to start filming by the end of 2023.

Speaking of Kartik's work front, the actor has a strong filmography. He is now wrapping up the filming of Sajid Nadiadwala's Satyaprem Ki Katha, but he is also getting ready for his upcoming project with Kabir Khan. The actor also has Shehzada with Kriti Sanon in his kitty.
