Bigg Boss 16 January 18, 2023 written update: Shalin confronts Sumbul about the 'I Love You' statement, the latter says THIS

On January 18, the day begins with a peaceful note where everyone wishes each other good morning. Archana talks about her insomnia with Tina Datta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. Maahim enters the house after its morning run, while Tina rushes to play with the adorable dog. 

Shiv complains about his breakfast, while Sumbul Touqeer Khan says that she has put a lot of butter in it. Stan quirkily says that no matter how much buttering she does in the house, she will get nominated, while Shalin praises Sumbul for the delicious breakfast. 

On the other hand, Archana reveals to Shalin that she used to be very strong in the Bigg Boss 16 house, while the weekend ka vaar scares her. 

Bigg Boss announces a new task that will require the contestants to choose between Nimrit and Shiv, whoever they feel is eligible for the finals. Tina and Soundarya choose Nimrit, however, Shiv gets the majority of votes, while Priyanka goes for neither of them and nominates her own name.

Now, Shiv and Nimrit will have to fight it out for the captaincy and to get the 'ticket to finale.'

Shalin claims that Tina moves on to another guy soon after someone leaves her, which infuriates the latter along with her new buddy Priyanka. Post this, Shalin and Tina dive into a huge fight and say mean things to each other. The latter even drags Sumbul's name amid the heated argument.

Shalin confronts Sumbul about the 'I Love You' statement. Sumbul refuses to comment or even listen to it.

After the huge fight, Soundarya manipulates Shalin and says that Tina has a long history of dragging other girls' names and pulling them down in the show. She asks him why he did not nominate her as it would have been a correct move, to which Shalin brings up the lady card on why he didn't nominate Tina.
