Bigg Boss 16 January 3, 2023 Highlights: Abdu becomes captain for the second time

After Priyanka, Stan, Abdu and Nimrit become safe from eviction, the four become eligible for captaincy this week. As usual, some heated arguments broke out yet again inside the house, with some of them yelling at the top of their lungs. Shiv, Archana, Stan, Tina, Priyanka and Sajid become in the thick of the arguments.

Here’s all that happened:

Day 94, 9:45 AM IST

Shalin and Tina joke around with each other. Archana talks about how Priyanka hesitated to share avocados and dragon fruits. Tina argues with Archana for taking so long to make food in the kitchen. Tina yells at Archana when the latter says that Tina and Shalin are engaged in romance. Tina says Shalin is her friend and she will hug him as much as she wants.

Day 94, 10:00 AM IST

Soundarya and Archana discuss the incident with Nimrit. Tina also talks about that morning’s incident with Sreejita and Priyanka.

Day 94, 10:30 AM IST

Priyanka says that everything is a number’s game when talking about the ‘games’ that are played in the house. Sajid talks about how Archana’s ‘stock’ goes up when everyone turns against her. The filmmaker says that Archana fighting with everyone in the house makes her a favourite among the audience.

Day 94, 11:45 AM IST

Shalin and Tina also discuss Archana, and how the latter manages to make everyone have an outburst. Shalin says that they do not have to prove their friendship to anyone.

Day 94, 1:30 PM IST

Sajid and Abdu joke and play around again.

Day 94, 2:00 PM IST

Priyanka tells everyone that they should announce whatever is being made in the kitchen, and it should be made after discussing with everyone. Nimrit and Priyanka argue over it, since the latter does not each dal. Sajid says that it is a strange alliance between the four, referring to Priyanka, Tina, Shalin and Sreejita.

Day 94, 3:15 PM IST

Everyone is called in the living room. Nimrit, Priyanka, Abdu and Stan are in the race for captaincy. The task involves balls being dropped from slides, and the rest of the housemates are required to catch them in the air and put them in the basket of the person who they want to see as captain. The persons in the captaincy race are required to protect the balls that are already in their basket. Sajid is the moderator of the task

Day 94, 3:30 PM IST

When Tina and Shalin whisper, Bigg Boss prevents them from participating in the first round. Sreejita falls and injures herself. Soundarya catches the first ball and puts it in Abdu’s box. Shalin catches the second and puts it in Priyanka’s basket.

Bigg Boss takes Tina’s class for whispering to Shalin. Tina asks Bigg Boss to call her to the confessional sometimes.

Day 94, 3:45 PM IST

Soundarya catches the next ball, but it becomes disqualified when it touches the ground. Shalin catches the next and puts it into Priyanka’s box. Bigg Boss continues to mock Tina. Shiv catches a ball and gives it to Abdu. Shalin catches the next and gives it to Priyanka.

Day 94, 4:15 PM IST

Sajid asks everyone, including Priyanka and Abdu to step out of the basket. Tina and Priyanka yell and call Sajid’s new rule unfair, when the latter says that it is due to make it fair due to the height difference between Abdu and Priyanka. Priyanka says Sajid is cheating. Shalin and Nimrit soon start to yell and argue. Soundarya catches another ball and puts it into Abdu’s basket. Both Priyanka and Abdu step out of the basket.

Day 94, 4:30 PM IST

Sumbul catches and gives Abdu another ball. Priyanka again argues with Sajid, when the latter says that he can disqualify her if he wanted to. Tina also starts yelling about Sajid changing up the rules. Tina says that everyone seems to cheat according to their convenience. Sajid asks her to lower her voice and to not talk to him like that. Priyanka declares that the only reason Sajid changed the rules was because the former had more balls. Bigg Boss declares that the last ball will drop soon, but the task will end only 10 minutes later, and the captain nominees will get a chance to take the balls from each other’s baskets.

Day 94, 4:45 PM IST

Priyanka starts to take a ball from Abdu, while Stan tries to do the same to Priyanka. Another argument breaks out and soon, time ends, and Abdu is declared the captain with four balls in his basket.

Day 94, 5:00 PM IST

Sajid discusses the argument, when Tina yelled at him. Tina becomes frustrated about Bigg Boss criticising her. Sajid openly declares that he is an unfair moderator, and he favours his friends.

Day 94, 6:00 PM IST

Tina talks about how Sajid did not like her yelling. Tina says that she yelled only because Sajid yelled.

Day 94, 7:00 PM IST

Archana says that the powder room and bathroom is not clean after Abdu became captain. Shiv comes to Abdu’s defence, saying Archana did not do her own chores, and the two argue. Sreejita also starts to criticise Archana as well for not doing her chores.

Tina becomes cross with Shalin yet again, saying she did not like the way he speaks at times. Shalin refuses to give in and leaves. Archana tells Abdu that the bathroom is unclean, while the captain argues that it is not so.

Day 94, 7:15 PM IST

Shalin and Tina’s argument gets worse, and Tina leaves in a huff after throwing a bottle. She is heard sobbing in the bathroom.

Day 94, 7:30 PM IST

Archana continues her complaint that Stan did not clean the bathroom. Shiv also yells at Archana. The latter complains directly to Stan. Stan waves her away and calls her shemdi, and soon the duo drag each other’s parents into the argument as well. Archana calls him a ‘ghatiya aadmi’, while Stan says that she is not a girl, but a tomboy. Soon everyone else becomes involved, and the argument goes on for quite a while. Sajid tries to calm Stan down, while Archana continues to talk.

Day 94, 8:00 PM IST

Archana says that until the bathroom is cleaned, no other work will be done. The argument goes on for more than a half hour. Archana soon becomes emotional saying that everyone would criticise her if she did not do her chores, and that she was arguing because of the double standards.

Stan becomes angry because Archana targeted his profession, while Sajid asks why Stan dragged Archana’s mother into the argument.
