Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra is celebrating his 88th birthday today. Soon after the clock's needles came together at midnight, numerous birthday wishes poured in for him on various social media handles. To add the cherry on top, a fan gathering was arranged outside Dharmendra’s Juhu house this afternoon. Sunny Deol posed with his father at the gathering as the latter cut a giant 7-tier birthday cake. While the legendary actor continues to receive wishes from his loved ones, an interesting piece of news has come from Salman Khan.

Minutes ago, superstar Salman Khan extended his heartfelt wishes on legendary actor Dharmendra’s 88th birthday. Penning a special post on his social media handles, Salman wrote, “Happy Birthday Dharam Ji @aapkadharam”

In the post, Salman attached pictures of himself standing and smiling beside Dharmendra on the set of Bigg Boss Season 16. These pictures were taken in January. These pictures were taken just before Salman commenced the fun segment with comedian Krushna Abhishek in the presence of Dharmendra.

Currently, Bigg Boss Season 17 is going on.

Earlier in the day, Deol brothers Sunny and Bobby wished Dharmendra on his 88th birthday. While the 'Gadar 2' actor wrote, "Happy Birthday Papa Love You (sic)", the 'Animal' actor posted, "Love you the most Papa Blessed to be your son! #HappyBirthday (sic)."

Dharmendra’s wife, Hema Malini lovingly wrote, “Wishing my dearest life partner of many years, a very happy, healthy and joyful birthday. May you have all the love your heart can hold, all the happiness a day can bring, and all the blessings a life can unfold. I just want to say that I hope you can see how special you are to me. Happy birthday to my love!”

Dharmendra's illustrious career spans over six decades, during which he has graced the silver screen in over 300 films, leaving an indelible mark on the Indian film industry. In 2012, he was honored with the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, by the Government of India. He was last seen in the movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
