Bigg Boss 16 October 28 Written Update: Sumbul, Ankit bear the brunt of Salman Khan’s wrath; Katrina Kaif makes a dashing entry

After being away from the Bigg Boss 16 stage for more than a week, host Salman Khan was finally back in his full glory for Shukravaar Ka Vaar. The host joked about how a small mosquito was able to put him down, and thanked Karan Johar for holding down the fort while he was away. The host remarks of how a lot of things seemed to change in his absence, and played clips from the house.

Tina Datta is seen upset with Shalin Bhanot for making her lose the task. As Shalin jokes that he will make it up to her by getting her chocolates, she asks him to understand how serious she is and criticises him for not being next to her when she needed him, despite him telling Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia that Tina is his first priority. Tina talks about how Archana Gautam thinks that only those who fight and argue can survive the Bigg Boss house, and the former declares that she will not leave so easily. She says she will not give Shalin another chance to hurt her.

Archana is angry with Sajid Khan for eating two croissants, one of which was hers, and does not get satisfied with the filmmaker saying that he will get her another. Shiv Thakare gives Archana MC Stan’s croissant, but she refuses to take it and tries to drum up an argument over it. Sajid says he only ate the extra croissant that was supposed to be Abdu’s after asking for the singer’s permission. Archana’s attempts to start an argument over this earns her the ire of Shiv, Stan and Sajid.

Salman asks the housemates who in the house are in need of guardians. Sajid names Abdu and Sumbul Touqeer, Stan mentions Priyanka and Sumbul, Gori Nagori chooses Priyanka and Ankit Gupta, Shiv mentions Sumbul and Ankit, Ankit chooses Stan and Sumbul, Priyanka chooses Abdu and Sumbul, Archana mentions Sumbul and Stan, Soundarya Sharma names Sumbul and Stan, Gautam Vig names Sumbul and Ankit, Sumbul names Abdu and Stan, Nimrit mentions Sumbul and Ankit, Tina mentions Abdu and Ankit, Shalin names Abdu and Ankit. Ankit and Sumbul get the most votes in this.

Salman talks about how this warrants discussion, since the two are adults. The host receives a warm welcome from the housemates. He scolds Gori for her behaviour in the past week, and praises Abdu. The host says that Abdu seems to be the guardian of the house, and says that he is the last person to need guidance. Salman says India wants to see Abdu as he is, and to never be swayed by what other people say.

Salman talks about how Sumbul seems to have taken a few steps back for quite some time, and asks her what relevance she has in the house during her stay, to which the Imlie actress says that she has contributed nothing. He scolds Sumbul for trying to dump her mistakes onto Shalin, and the way she tries to contribute to conversations despite contributing little to the house. Salman talks about how Soundarya once said that Nimrit was becoming the Sumbul of the house, after Nimrit seemed to be in Gautam’s shadow for a while. Salman asks Soundarya to explain what she meant, and she says that Sumbul seems to be in Shalin’s shadow. Salman relentlessly scolds Sumbul for staying behind in the show, and advises her to step up and make her voice heard every once in a while.

The host then moves on to Ankit. The former asks Priyanka why the housemates chose Ankit, and the Udaariyaan actress says that she agrees that Ankit barely raises his voice. Salman reminds Priyanka that she had said that Ankit had inner strength, but people rarely got to see it. The former asks why Ankit is on the show, and the latter says he came to win. Salman says that the way he is flying under the radar is not ideal, and asks him to step out of his comfort zone. He asks when Ankit had taken a stand, and the Udaariyaan actor talks about the captaincy incident with Shiv and Priyanka.

The host says that he wants the housemates to become better by the time they have to leave the BB house. He asks people to display their personality as much as possible through the course of the show.

Salman then questions the housemates as to why they criticised Nimrit for sacrificing the rations, but remained mum when Soundarya did the same thing. He questions Gautam and Priyanka about it. The host also questions Gautam and Soundarya about their love story, to which the two say that it is real. The host says that it is not real. Shalin and Tina are criticised for speaking in English so much, and taunts them for the same, as well as Soundarya.

The topic then moves on to captaincy, and the host plays a game. The game involves that one housemate sits on a chair, and the rest of them have to answer yes or no to the questions Salman asks. If the answer comes yes, the person in the chair gets slapped. Archana is first and she gets slapped two times. Next up is Sajid, and he gets two slaps as well. Third is Shalin, and he gets slapped twice too.

Gautam, Soundarya, Gori, Shiv, Abdu, Nimrit and Tina are nominated for eviction this week. After Salman leaves, Sumbul talks about how much criticism she received from Salman, and Shalin comforts her. Soundarya also discusses her comments about Nimrit. Abdu and Sajid also discuss what happened as well.

Salman welcomes Katrina Kaif on the show, and the actress promised to haunt the audiences' hearts with her charm and grace.
