Bigg Boss 17- Netizens say ‘downfall of a star’ after Kangana Ranaut tweets about Ankita Lokhande’s in-laws

Kangana Ranaut is someone who has always been termed as fierce and feisty, both in her real life as well as her reel life. She has never shied away from expressing her opinions on social media on matters that ‘matter the most’. But a recent post of hers on social media seems to have backfired on her in a big way.

So far, Kangana Ranaut has never posted anything ‘acidic’ about the reality show Bigg Boss on social media. But, in her recent long post on social media she wrote that ‘The media needs to calm down and stop calling Ankita Lokhande’s in-laws names’. While supporting her statement, she cited Vicky’s role in Ankita Lokhande’s life when Sushant Singh Rajput left Ankita and her house caught fire which resulted in her being devastated.

The actress hailed Vicky Jain’s role in Ankita’s life for standing by her against his conservative and traditionalist family. Even though Kangana supported Vicky in her post, the netizens were just not pleased at all. In a recent post on Reddit, a user wrote, “Lo aa gayi bua ji fokat ka gyaan dene. The older generation of women have put up with a lot because they weren’t financially independent or educated. Their marriages didn’t ‘work’. They were lived out as life sentences because they had no other options”.

There was another user who termed people like Kangana as excellent gatekeepers of patriarchy, who waste their talent. There was another user who commented, “Internalized misogyny is as bad as misogyny”. There was another user who wrote that, this post said a lot about Kangana as a person, while he drew comparisons between the defense of Rashmika’s character towards Ranbir Kapoor in the film Animal.

There were others who were quite acidic and even sarcastic in their tonality of replies. One such reply to the post was, “Baithe baithe kya karein karna h kuch kaam”, which was a direct hit at the actress having nothing better to do. This user’s sentiments were immediately got echoed by another user who wrote (while referring to the post) that these are the actress’ desperate attempts to get any attention. The user also ‘advised’ her to quit entirely from movies and do her preaching full time for her right wing friends.

For the uninitiated, Kangana Ranaut and Ankita Lokhande had worked together in the film ‘Manikarnika’. Even though the film did not live upto the expectations at the box-office, Ankita Lokhande’s performance was appreciated by many.
