Bigg Boss Kannada 10 grand finale – Vinay Gowda says ‘I’m the people’s champion’

Vinay Gowda did not make it to the top 3 in the Bigg Boss Kannada 10 elimination on Day 2. His eviction, of course, took many by surprise, including Vinay himself. “It was, no doubt, shocking and I thought that my eviction was a little too early. I did not expect that I would be eliminated; all of a sudden I was out. It was a good journey. Of course, I am upset, I didn’t get the Brezza. No regrets, I am proud of what I have done. If I get to redo the whole show, I will do the same. I think I am the people’s champion. People have shown me a lot of love, which is why I reached to this stage,” said Vinay after his elimination.

When Sudeep asked Vinay just what could have gone wrong, the latter said that he’s the kind of person that only some people will like. He admitted that he did not connect with everyone in the house and perhaps outside, but those who did will stay him for life. In response, Sudeep told him that Vinay had won his heart also.

Former housemate Michael Ajay said he was shocked by the elimination and added that he firmly believed that Vinay deserved to be in the top 3, irrespective of whether people in the house liked him or not. Namratha Gowda, who is a close friend of Vinay and was visibly shocked by his ouster said that his eviction was unfair and that he deserved to be a winner. Tukali Santhosh reminisced how he often thought that Vinay was overconfident, but the latter had always countered that saying that he was in the house to win and return with the trophy.

Incidentally, Tanisha Kuppanda was the only one who had named Vinay as the contestant to be evicted at the stage of four. When asked by Sudeep why she’d named him, she explained that it was based on her observations of how audiences perceived the contestants once she left the house. She also said that she realized that there were people who watched the show because they liked it, others who’d watch and then vote and a third section, who’d only vote. In her own way, Tanisha addressed the allegation that there were people voting indiscriminately like bots.

Tanisha’s statement prompted Sudeep to yet again explain that the votes are fair and that even he gets to know the results only moments before they are announced.
