Bigg Boss Kannada OTT: Does Jashwanth want ‘me time’ or time away from Nandini?

What’s a season of Bigg Boss Kannada without some drama, right? Often, this drama is the result of the personal relationships that develop between contestants in the course of the show. When the first-ever season of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT kicked off just over four weeks ago, two of the contestants were an already established ‘jodi’. Roadies contestants and real-life sweethearts Jashwanth Bopanna and Nandini were considered as one entity initially, until they were later told they’d be contesting as separate individuals.

Soon enough, there were murmurs of budding ‘friendships’ between Rakesh Adiga and Spoorthi Gowda, as well as Roopesh Shetty and Sanya Iyer. The Rakesh-Spoorthi bond didn’t last long as she was eliminated in week 2 and now, Sonu Srinivas Gowda is the one circling around the Josh actor. Roopesh and Sanya have consistently stayed close, even though there have been minor issues occasionally, like, for instance, when Somanna Machimada pointed out that they were spending a helluva lot of time together and, therefore, not developing deeper bonds with the rest of the participants.

This week, though, the equations between multiple people were up in the air. First, there was Nandini, who was not sure if Jashwanth was craving alone time or just time away from her. He explained to her that there are moments when he prefers being alone and that it had nothing to do with their relationship, but she also told him that the fact that he was spending a lot more time with Sanya did not sit well with her.

At the same time, Roopesh pointed out that with Sanya spending time with Jashwanth, he felt that he was the only one who considered her his best friend and that she wasn’t reciprocating it. The current relationship dynamics should remind viewers of an earlier panchayat with host Sudeep, when he asked Jashwanth if he preferred home-cooked meals or food from a restaurant. Well, we’d also like to know where he stands on this now.
