Bigg Boss OTT 2: ‘Pooja Bhatt is bitter and negative, kept targeting me,’ says evicted contestant Aaliya Siddiqui

Aaliya Siddiqui blames her Bigg Boss OTT 2 eviction on Pooja Bhatt. She feels Pooja is bitter and negative. Aaliya further feels that the actress-producer has been targeting her since a while.

In an interview with Indian Express, she shared that Pooja Bhatt was responsible for her eviction from the show. Aaliya referred to Pooja and her group as negative individuals, stating that they are unable to see anything positive.

Aaliya further explained that Pooja continuously targeted her, accusing her of hiding aspects of her personality. In reality, Aaliya described herself as reserved and needing time to open up. She emphasized that she cannot engage in fights or speak ill of others for the sake of the camera, unlike some of the other contestants.

Aaliya expressed her confusion regarding the issues Pooja had with her, asserting that she had been strong enough to nominate Pooja when necessary. According to Aaliya, the negativity in the house predominantly stemmed from Pooja, who she considered the leader of the group. Aaliya believes Pooja should be evicted from the show for the same reason.

She also criticized the show for what she perceived as bias in favour of Pooja Bhatt and her group. She expressed satisfaction in knowing that the audience could see through this bias. Aaliya mentioned an incident during the nominations where Pooja attacked her and accused her of playing the victim card, despite Pooja herself frequently using her father Mahesh Bhatt's name in the game.

Aaliya questioned why Pooja felt the need to drop such a big statement while defending herself. She argued that Pooja, as an actor and director who had once been a star herself, should be able to play the game based on her own merit without resorting to name-dropping. Aaliya defended her own independence in the game, aiming to establish her own identity beyond being Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife, while Pooja continued to question her. This led to Aaliya expressing her frustration, considering it unfair treatment.

On the day of her eviction, Aaliya and Bebika Dhurve had a huge fight. Bebika accused Aaliya of trying to torture Pooja, who was on cleaning duty. It started after Aaliya forgot to clear her sanitary pad. The whole house, including people from her own group like Akanksha Puri and Jiya Shankar, showed disgust for the act. Aaliya maintains that she forgot to pick it up because she was busy washing clothes. In her defence, Aaliya says that if she had to torture Pooja, she would with her tongue.
