Biju Menon, Asif Ali’s upcoming thriller Thalavan’s motion poster is out now

The title of Jis Joy’s upcoming thriller has been revealed by the makers through a motion poster that was unveiled on social media platforms. The film titled Thalavan will see Biju Menon and Asif Ali in lead roles. The poster shows the duo in police uniform, along with a striking background score. However, the makers have not given any hint about the theatrical release date of this film.

Both actors have unveiled the motion poster through their official accounts on social media with the tagline, ‘You are in the battle forever with the one who is as strong as you!’, evoking much anticipation among their fans.

Dileesh Pothen will also be playing a pivotal role in this investigative thriller. Miya George and Anushree will play the female leads. Other artists include Kottayam Nazeer, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Joji K John, Nandan Unni, and Dinesh.

Arun Narayan and Sijo Sebastian are producing the film under the banner of Arun Narayan Productions, in association with London Studios. Deepak Dev is the music director, and Saudi Vellakka-fame Sharan Velayudhan helms cinematography.

Biju Menon and Asif Ali playing cops

Biju Menon has previously played a cop in several films, such as Christian Brothers, Twenty-20, Baba Kalyani, and Shivam. Film enthusiasts praise him greatly for his role as SI Ayyapan Nair in Sachy's Ayyappanum Koshiyum. He had also won the National Film Award for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ in 2022 for this film. Biju Menon was last seen in Arun Varma’s directorial debut, Garudan, released in November.

Asif Ali, who played a police role in Jeethu Joseph’s Kooman, had a couple of hits, such as in 2018 and Otta this year.

Jis Joy’s theatrical release after a short gap

Jis Joy, who is popular among the Malayali audience as Allu Arjun’s voice in the latter’s Malayalam-dubbed films, is having a theatrical release after a while with Thalavan. His previous film, Innale Vare, starring Asif Ali, Antony Varghese, and Nimisha Sajayan in lead roles, was an OTT release.
