Black Panther 2, a superhero movie from Marvel Studios is off to a fantastic start in theatres. One of the most eagerly awaited movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Ryan Coogler-directed film is a tribute to the late actor Chadwick Boseman, who made an outstanding impression in the character of T'Challa aka Black Panther and left a lasting impression.

The Chadwick Boseman-starring prequel had earned 52.53 Cr from India and was regarded as a success. Wakanda Forever, the sequel to the first Black Panther movie, is now anticipated to earn twice as much money worldwide.

Black Panther 2 managed to bring in between Rs 12.5 and 13.5 cr nett on day 1, which is greater than every Hollywood movie that wasn't a Marvel production this year but lower than Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

On November 11, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released in theatres all around the world. The majority of social media reviews for the most recent Marvel Studios production have been excellent.

Black Panther 2 reportedly had a $150 million budget (INR 1250 crores approx). According to reports, it has taken up over 2500 screens in India, comparable to Thor 4. However, similar to the latter in India, it failed after a record-breaking start.

The film has topped Jurassic: World Dominion's day 1 gross of Rs. 8 crore to rank third among Indian openings of 2022. Although it outperformed predictions at the box office, the movie's opening did not measure up to earlier Marvel films.

Due to the massive MCU fandom in India, the top 3 highest day 1 grossers of 2022 are all Marvel films. Doctor Strange 2 and Thor 4 are the only two Marvel movies that have surpassed the 100 crore nett milestone in Hollywood this year. The spotlight will now be on Wakanda forever.
