This week has been filled with many streaming releases, giving the audience abundant choices to add to their weekend binge list. But one show that has grabbed the most attention with its return for Part 2 of its third season is Bobby Deol-led, Prakash Jha-created drama Aashram. And no, it is not Season 4, but Season 3 Part 2. There has been massive buzz around the show because fans have been waiting for it forever. Turns out, they now finally have the fodder they have been craving. But while we all wait to binge it, what if we tell you Baba Nirala just made a collab with Dua Lipa—and this was so not on our bingo cards for 2025 at all! Read on to know everything about it.

Bobby Deol's Aashram Meets Dua Lipa

Other than Bobby Deol, the Prakash Jha series Aashram also stars Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumaar, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vikram Kochhar, Tridha Choudhury, Anupriya Goenka, Rajeev Siddhartha, and Esha Gupta in key roles. But the most interesting twist came from Gurgaon, where a salon hoarding went a bit too far to grab the attention of potential clients. As per a viral reel, a salon in Gurgaon has made the unimaginable happen. In the poster for the salon, we see Baba Nirala meeting Dua Lipa.

Yes, you heard that right! The poster features a collage of Baba Nirala and Dua Lipa’s pictures. Confused about what this means? Well, the wordplay lies in the name of the salon. Using the words "Baba" and "Dua," the name of the salon is "Baba Ki Dua Salon." Wait till you read the tagline for the salon, which states: "Boli meethi aur daadhi teekhi—asli mard ki pehchaan. Netizens are having a ball reacting to this hilarious and unexpected marketing move!

Bobby Deol on Breaking His Image for Aashram

Talking about how he would have never imagined Prakash Jha calling him to play Baba Nirala in the first place, Deol opened up about his surprise at being cast. In a chat with ANI, the actor said: "I was willing to play different kinds of roles and step out of my comfort zone. But in the industry, generally, what happens is that an actor's image gets built up. When I got a message from Prakash Ji that he wanted to meet me, I assumed he would offer me the role of a police officer because I was capable of playing that role. But then he told me he wanted me to play Baba Nirala. I thought I was hearing something wrong, but he had full faith that I would be able to do it—and it happened exactly the way we had expected."

Thanking Prakash Jha, he added: "He (director Prakash Jha) believed in me, and I got what I wanted. God was kind to me—I got such a challenging role. He (Prakash Jha) told me, ‘People will listen to you, keep this in mind.’ I always remembered this and never tried to overdo anything. And whenever I did, Prakash Ji used to stop me. So, overall, it has been an amazing journey. Every actor has done a great job."

Aashram Season 3 Part 2 is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more updates on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films!
