Brahmastra makers to release a special video on Alia Bhatt’s birthday

Brahmastra is one of the biggest Indian movies in the making and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead. The latest reports suggest that the movie’s makers are preparing for a big update on Bhatt’s birthday. 

As reported by Pinkvilla, the makers are preparing to release a new video on March 15, which will unveil Alia Bhatts’s character in the movie. 

“It’s a birthday special video to launch Alia’s Isha from Brahmastra. The audience would get a glimpse into her world in the film and unlike the first motion poster, this one might even have some actual visuals from Brahmastra,” told a source close to the project to Pinkvilla. 

The source added that Isha is more than just the hero’s romantic interest, and plays an important role in the protagonist’s journey. While details about Bhatt’s character are closely guarded, the makers are expected to kick off a campaign ahead of the movie’s release in September this year. 

Brahmastra is touted to be the costliest Indian movie and is a fantasy epic directed by Ayan Mukerji (Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani). Apart from Ranbir and Alia, the movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in key roles. 

Mukerji had earlier told Deadline that the movie is about a hero who has to step up when a divine weapon of mass destruction threatens to end the world. 

Backed by Fox Star Studios, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, the movie will have three parts. With the first part scheduled to release on September 9, 2022, the second and third parts will be out in 2024 and 2026, respectively.
