In just 17 days, period drama Bridgerton Season 2 became Netflix's third-most-popular English-language TV series, according to a list based on the shows' first 28 days on the streaming service.
According to Netflix's freshly disclosed Top 10 data for the week of April 4 to 10, the series had 115.75 million hours of viewing on the English TV list and was ranked in the Top 10 in 91 countries, making it the most-watched title for the third week in a row. With 560.50M hours viewed, the season ranked # 3 on the Most Popular list. With Bridgerton (Seasons 1 & 2) and Inventing Anna, Shondaland currently occupies three slots on the Most Popular list.
Bridgerton Season 2, from showrunner Chris Van Dusen and executive producer Shonda Rhimes, easily surpassed all other English-language TV shows for the week of April 4–10, with 115.7 million hours viewed.
The new dating series The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On (43.7 million hours) came in second, and the first season of Bridgerton came in third (35.8 million hours). Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story (17.7 million hours) was at No. 4, and Inventing Anna was at No. 5. (17.3 million hours).
Better Call Saul was the sixth most-watched English-language TV title of the week, with fans catching up ahead of the series' Season 6 release later this month (15 million hours). Is It Cake? Season 1 (14.8 million hours), Super Pupz Season 1 (13.8 million hours), The Last Kingdom Season 5 (13 million hours), and CoComelon Season 5 rounded out the top ten (12.6 million hours).
In terms of movies, The In Between dethroned The Adam Project as the most-watched English-language film (26.8 million hours vs. 10.9 million hours).
Elite Season 5 began at No. 1 on the non-English TV series chart with 51.4 million hours viewed, and Furioza was the top film with 24 million hours.
