TV’s current sweetheart Sidharth Shukla is all set to charm fans again in his upcoming TV show Broken But Beautiful 3. When a new actor replaces the protagonist who made the show popular, they usually get a bad rap from the audience. But in the case of Broken But Beautiful, when Sidharth took over from Vikrant Massey, the popularity of the show soared higher, thanks in no small measure to the massive fanbase of the actor who will be playing Agastya.
The Bigg Boss 13 winner has been quite popular, even before he won the reality show hosted by Salman Khan. Sidharth has been among the most influential stars on TV and it was only a matter of time his superstardom spread to OTT platforms as well.
Although you don’t really need any, here are five reasons why Sidharth is TV’s superstar:
1. His right attitude won him fans during Bigg Boss stint
From befriending one of the most-loved contestants, Shehnaz Gill Kaur, to sitting in a corner and chilling out, Sidharth had the right attitude to come up aces in a show like Bigg Boss. It was thanks to his cool-as-a-cucumber demeanour on the show that he was chosen as the winner and eventually bagged Broken But Beautiful 3.
2. He stole the show in Balika Vadhu
Balika Vadhu launched Sidharth’s TV career, with the actor playing the second husband of Anandi (Pratyusha Banerjee). For a while, he even became the face of one of the longest-running TV shows. What a way to make a mark!
3. He even conquered Khatron Ke Khiladi
Most would have just one win as a reality show contestant, but Sidharth has two! And that too two big ones. Apart from Bigg Boss, Sidharth had also participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi, hosted by Rohit Shetty, beat the challenges and came out on top as victor in the show.
4. The Dil Se Dil Tak connect
Over the years, Sidharth and Rashami Desai emerged as popular names on the TV circuit and expectations were sky high when the duo starred in the show Dil Se Dil Tak. They were even rumoured to be a couple but things reportedly fell apart for them on the show. The series also had Jasmin Bhasin, who continues to be Sidharth’s good friend.
5. His Bollywood debut with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania
Sidharth made his film debut at a time when TV actors were struggling to find movies. He played the second male lead in Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and was noted for his portrayal of NRI Dr Angad Bedi.
