Pushpa: The Rise was arguably one the biggest hits of birthday boy Allu Arjun’s career, and fans are anxiously awaiting to see him back on screen again as the daring and dashing Pushpa Raj. And it seems that fans’ prayers will soon be answered, as the star is expected to begin work on Pushpa 2 in the coming months.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the makers of the sequel have already begun working on the film with respect to searching for locations and working on the script. Allu Arjun is expected to start working on the film by June end or by the beginning of July, after spending time with his family.
A source also told the portal that director Sukumar, who also helmed the first film, is currently going through the sequel’s script and dialogues, placing more emphasis on the latter. While the perfection oriented director was looking at that, the crew were gearing up to start the shoot, as several important scenes in the film would be shot during the first schedule of filming, added the source.
It is also being speculated that the makers are aiming to release the film in summer next year.
Sukumar had written and directed Pushpa: The Rise while Srikanth Vissa penned the film’s dialogues. Vissa will also write the dialogues of the film’s sequel, titled Pushpa: The Rule. The sequel will also see Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna reprise their roles from the first film, which marked Faasil’s Telugu debut. The film minted over Rs 350 crores at the box office during the course of its run.The upcoming film will continue the story from where the first one left off.
