Aditya Roy Kapur is all set to make his OTT debut according to various reports. The actor will be seen in a web series which was originally going to feature Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, the reports confirm. Titled The Night Manager, the web series is the Hindi adaptation of the popular Hollywood web series of the same name.

A report on Bollywood Hungama confirms that Hrithik Roshan opted out of The Night Manager. According to a source quoted by the website, Aditya not only replaced the actor but also started shooting for the show.

The source further confirmed that Aditya plays the role of Jonathan Pine, played by Tom Hiddleston in the original series. The Night Manager is the story of how Jonathan, an ex-soldier, takes over a covert operation. He has to infiltrate an arms dealer named Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie)’s inner circle to avenge the death of his girlfriend.

There is still no confirmation on who would replace Hugh in the Hindi series. It also remains to be seen if the web series turns into more than one season, which was not the case with the original web show.

Last seen in Anurag Basu’s Ludo, Aditya currently has Om: The Battle Within among other projects in his kitty. The actor has also reportedly been roped in for Thadam’s Hindi remake.

Hrithik Roshan, on the other hand, will next be seen in Vikram Vedha, Fighter and Krishh 4 soon. The actor’s last blockbuster hit was WAR, which released in 2019, before the pandemic hit India. Also starring Tiger Shroff in the lead role, the Siddharth Anand directorial became the highest grossing film of the year.
