Captain Miller's first look poster leaves Dhanush fans thrilled, all eyes are now on the release date

Captain Miller is one of the most-awaited Tamil projects in 2023. The film directed by Arun Matheswaran evoked curiousity among movie buffs ever since its announcement. Bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films, it has Dhanush playing the titular role while Shivaraj Kumar, Priyanka Mohan and Sundeep Kishan will be essaying notable characters.

The much-awaited first look poster of the project was unveiled yesterday. A rugged Dhanush is seen wielding a weapon in it amid a war-torn location where many people in army uniform are found lying dead. A host of moving trucks on fire are also spotted in the poster which conveys nothing, but chaos.

Set in the 19th century, the adventurous action drama has Dhanush playing an aggressive rebel who fights for a social cause. The movie will hit screens this year, but makers are yet to announce the release date. Fans of the actor who are thrilled with the first look poster are now curious about the date.

There were reports earlier that the project would be released in October. An official word is awaited, though. The much-awaited action drama will be the actor's second release this year after Vaathi.

GV Prakash's music and Dhilip Subbarayan's action sequences are expected to be highlights of the movie which marks the third directorial project of Arun after Rocky and Saani Kaayidham. The former had a theatrical release in 2021 while the latter dropped directly on Amazon Prime last year.

Siddhartha Nuni and Nagooran Ramachandran have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the movie which brings Dhanush and Sathya Jyothi together after the debacle of Maaran.
