Cheeni: Will the lead actress Indrani Bhattacharya be replaced?

Star Jalsha’s serial Cheeni is not even a month old. However, according to a report on Hindustan Times Bangla, the heroine of the serial Indrani Bhattacharya will be replaced. This created a buzz in Tollywood. Reports say that Indrani will not be seen in the role.

Indrani became popular as Googly in the serial Khelna Bari. She just started her journey as Cheeni on Star Jalsa. Why is she getting replaced so soon? Efforts were made to contact the actress several times but she did not answer the calls. She did not reply to the messages either. The serial is produced by Sahana Dutta’s Missing Screw. Sahana is the writer, screenwriter, and the creative director of Cheeni. She was contacted but she said that she was busy.

A few days back, Trina Saha replaced the newcomer Moumita in the serial Love Biye Aaj Kaal. Moumita withdrew from the project due to illness. The Om-Trina couple is now a superhit. Indrani also said in her close section that she was not keeping well. Is that the reason?

The serial centres around the love story between Dron, the boy from Roychoudhury family, and Cheeni, their driver's daughter. Cheeni comes to the family unexpectedly. Will she be able to solve the mystery hidden in the house? The channel did not officially confirm anything about the heroine's replacement.

On the day of the launch, Indrani said, “I am not different from Cheeni. Cheeni and Indrani are the same person. I am also a restless girl. Hence I have no pressure doing the role.” Somraj Maiti came back to TV with Cheeni after Jionkathi. Madhurima Basak plays the second lead. The serial’s slot is 10.30 pm each day.
