Chhaava box office collection day 10: The past ten days have been all about Chhaava for Indian cinema lovers, as the film continues to dominate the box office. Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead, this much-anticipated film has now completed ten days on the big screen, rewriting history in Kaushal’s filmography. It has officially become his highest-grossing movie of all time. Not only that, but Chhaava has also surpassed several post-pandemic blockbusters, including Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi.

Despite the intense frenzy surrounding yesterday’s India vs. Pakistan match at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the film remained unshaken and continued its strong box office run.

Chhaava Box Office Update

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Pictures, Chhaava is based on the life of the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who ruled from 1681 to 1689. The film, mounted on a grand scale, also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Divya Dutta as Sambhaji Maharaj’s stepmother Soyarabai, and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. It was released in Indian cinemas on February 14, 2025.

As per Sacnilk, on its second Saturday (Day 9), Chhaava earned ₹44 crore at the domestic box office, proving that it still holds strong momentum. However, industry experts were concerned about its performance on Day 10, as it clashed with the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match in Dubai. While the match did cause a slight dip in footfalls, the film remained resilient, earning almost the same amount as it did on Saturday.

On its second Sunday, Chhaava collected around ₹40 crore. With a production budget of ₹130 crore, the film has now amassed a total of ₹326.75 crore at the Indian box office by the end of its second weekend. In just ten days, Chhaava has earned 151.34% of its budget. The film also recorded an impressive nationwide occupancy rate of 54.63%.

The Road Ahead for Chhaava

The real litmus test for Chhaava begins today as it enters its second working week. To maintain its momentum and aim for even bigger numbers, the film must sustain its performance without experiencing major drops. However, given its strong reception and the buzz surrounding it, Chhaava is expected to enjoy a long theatrical run and is far from leaving the big screen anytime soon.

With direction by Laxman Utekar and music by A.R. Rahman, Chhaava continues to soar to new heights. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more updates on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
