Chithha trailer: Siddharth gives an intriguing performance in this suspense-laden family drama

SU Arun Kumar's Chithha, starring Siddharth in the lead, has been garnering the attention of movie buffs ever since its teaser was unveiled a few weeks ago. The project has been bankrolled by the actor's Etaki Entertainment and stars Nimisha Sajayan in a pivotal character.

It revolves around the relationship between an uncle and his school-going niece. The film marks Siddharth's second outing this year after Takkar which hit the screens a few months ago.

The makers have now come up with a trailer that offers more insight into its plot. The film's story begins when a youngster sets out to find out his niece who goes missing. Later, he comes across a shocking revelation that leaves his life topsy-turvy. What happens to him after he decides to take revenge against a few criminals forms the rest of the story.

Vishal Chandrasekhar composed the background score for Chittha and Dhibu Ninan Thomas scored the songs in it. Balaji Subramanyam has cranked the camera while Suresh A Prasad has handled its editing. CS Balachandar has helmed art direction and Yugabharathi has penned lyrics along with director Arun Kumar.

Chithha gets support from leading celebrities

The makers have been aptly promoting the film through a few notable celebrities. It was Kamal Haasan who first announced about the project. He even reminisced about his relationship with his niece when he was a young boy.

Later, Vetri Maaran heaped praise on the movie and its makers. Leading production house Red Giant Movies bagged its theatrical rights in Tamil Nadu recently. Chithha is releasing on September 28 and will have a clash with Iraivan and Chandramukhi 2.
