There is always a sense of great anticipation that precedes the release of every movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The idea of watching larger than life superheroes saving lives, while offering groundbreaking visual and music in theatres is always an attraction.
Fans received all this in abundance in Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014. The interstellar group of whimsical heroes have since been fan-favourites and MCU fans are eager to see what the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie has to offer.
Chris Pratt, who plays the leader of the group, Peter Quill / Star-Lord, has now stated that the third movie, directed by James Gunn, is a true masterpiece.
Talking to Digital Spy as part of promoting Pratt’s latest series The Terminal List (Amazon Prime Video), the actor revealed that Gunn watched a rough assembly of the movie and seemed very proud of what he has done with the movie.
"And I can say with utter confidence that he's made a true masterpiece, and I just cannot wait for people to see it. It's James Gunn. He did all three movies, which is really rare and really special in the world of big box-office trilogies," Pratt added.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 also stars Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Sean Gunn, and Sylvester Stallone.
While the movie will only be out in 2023, the group of interstellar misfits will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, which hits theaters in India on July 7. A Holiday Special is also slated to be released in December, which could introduce the MCU to Adam Warlock played by Will Poulter.
