It's official! Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming romantic comedy Prince is all set to hit screens on October 21 as a Diwali release. The team confirmed and announced the same with a new poster from the film. Prince is directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Ratnalu fame. Ukrainian model-turned-actress Maria Ryaboshapka plays the leading lady and the film marks her debut in the Tamil industry. We hear that the plot revolves around a teacher, played by Sivakarthikeyan, who falls in love with a foreigner, essayed by Maria. The portions have been shot across locations in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Thaman is scoring music for the first time for a Sivakarthikeyan film and the song Jessica, which was released recently, featured the composer along with the actor in a colourful backdrop that gives out some happy vibes. Thaman, too, had recently confirmed that the film will hit screens for Diwali. He had written on his social media handle, "Super Fun O Fun laugh Riot #Diwali Coming to U Guys From Our Dear darling Brother @Siva_Kartikeyan @anudeepfilm Next Song is Even More Fun..#PanGanna Song coming o Coming (sic)."

The team had recently revealed that the shoot for the film has been wrapped up and shared pictures from the set and from the cake-cutting ceremony after the wrap-up. The makers wrote, "#Prince wrapped up with a song shoot. Meet you all in theatres this Diwali (sic)."

While Paramahamsa is handling the cinematography, Praveen KL is taking care of the editing. There is also a buzz that the audio launch is likely to be held on October 9. There is no confirmation on the same. Prince will clash with Karthi's Sardar, a spy thriller, directed by PS Mithran. Sivakarthikeyan also has in his kitty, Ravikumar's science fiction Ayalaan and Madonna Ashwin's Maaveran, in which he is said to be playing a superhero like character.
