After nearly 46 years, the filmmaker is set to reunite two powerhouses of Tamil cinema, Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. But hold your horses for the announcement has not come out officially as of yet.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, who gave a blockbuster success Vikram to his idol Kamal Haasan, went on to direct Rajinikanth in Coolie. However, the film was not received well and met with sharp criticism. While the dejected fans thought that Lokesh will resume his sequel Kaithi 2 or his project with Aamir Khan, social media became buzzing with new reports about the filmmaker’s next.
As per the buzz, Lokesh is set to reunite Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth for a film, which will be produced by the former’s Raaj Kamal Films International. An official clarification in this regard is expected. The talks are on, and it is said that the film will be about two aged gangsters. If the news is indeed true, then it will mark the first time in recent times for Kamal and Rajinikanth to share screen space. The superstars, who once acted in several films together, had made a mutual decision to star individually. Their last film together was the 1979 film Allauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum.
