Coolie first single Chikitu out: T Rajhendherr, Anirudh Ravichander set the vibe right for Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj film

The hype for Coolie has just increased, as the makers have dropped the music video of first single from the film, Chikitu, on social media on Wednesday. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song is crooned by Rajhendherr, Arivu, and Anirudh Ravichander.

With just a little under two months for the release of Coolie, the highly anticipated Tamil film, the makers have started the promotion by releasing the first single Chikitu.

The four-minute video is shot within the sets of Coolie which resembles a godown, where Arivu meets Anirudh Ravichander as they gear up for creating the 'vibe' of the song. We see veteran filmmaker and actor (and Silambarasan’s father) T Rajhendherr voicing the beats he is famously known for. Anirudh performs for the song, while we see glimpses of Rajinikanth performing from the song. T Rajhendherr also shakes his leg. The song is written by Arivu and performed by T Rajhendherr, Arivu, and Anirudh Ravichander. Choreographer Sandy joins in later as he dances with Anirudh and performs the hook step.

Coolie - All you need to know

Directed by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is an upcoming action thriller starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film is produced by Sun Pictures with the ensemble star cast including Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, and Aamir Khan making a cameo appearance. Touted to be an action thriller, Coolie is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14. The anticipation is high about the film, given that it marks the first collaboration between Lokesh and Rajinikanth. Coolie will not fall under LCU brand of films.
