The teaser of Venkat Prabhu's Custody was unveiled a few days ago. Though the promo video hasn't revealed the film's plot, it is touted to be an action drama which revolves around a cop. Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty play lead roles in the movie which has Arvind Swami essaying the antagonist.

The music by father-son duo Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja is expected to be the prime highlight of the project which has Sarath Kumar and Priyamani among others playing crucial characters. Srinivasaa Chitturi has bankrolled the film under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen.

The makers had announced earlier that Custody will be released in Tamil and Telugu on May 12. On the occasion of Ugadi today, the team has come up with a new poster featuring Chaitanya and Krithi. The former is seen wielding a gun in his right hand while the latter, who looks terrified, is spotted leaning against his shoulder.

With back-to-back updates from makers, fans of Chitanya are elated to the core and are expressing the same in the comment section. They have been requesting the director to include all necessary elements to make the movie a neatly-packed commercial drama.

Chaitanya's last hit was Bangarraju which was released more than a year ago. The actor was seen in Thank You and Laal Singh Chaddha, too, in 2022. Film buffs in Kollywood and Tollywood are eagerly waiting to know the status of Custody at the box office.

The movie marks Chaitanya's Tamil debut and Venkat Prabhu's Telugu debut. The latter is on a high after the success of Maanaadu and cinephiles hope that he would repeat the feat with Custody as well.
