The team has now unveiled its two-and-a-half minute trailer in both the languages. As we all know, Chaitanya is a sincere police constable who sets out to nab a criminal, played by Arvind Swami. Sarath Kumar is a senior cop while Priyamani essays the role of the State Chief Minister. Premgi Amaren's character in Tamil is played by Vennela Kishore in Telugu.

It revolves around the cop who is confused between choosing the life his girlfriend wants and nabbing the ruthless criminal who is on the run. Billed as a realistic action drama, the movie, according to the makers, will be devoid of forced heroism.

Srinivasaa Chitturi has produced the film which has cinematography by SR Kathir and editing by Venkat Raajen. Mahesh Mathew has composed action scenes for Custody while Stunt Silva has helmed the climax stunt episodes. Venkat Prabhu himself has penned dialogues for the film which has art direction by Satya Narayana.

It marks the second movie of Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty together; they were seen together in the Tollywood film Bangarraju which was released in 2022.
