Daredevil: Born Again creates intrigue; Punisher to Karen Page – 5 characters set to return in the Marvel show

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe getting off to a good start with Echo for this new year, trust in the content with a new plan is now being rebuilt with baby steps. The audience has liked what they got with the first season of Echo, which marked the beginning of the new wing, Marvel Spotlight. While there is enough to talk about the Alaqua Cox show, we cannot ignore the anticipation that is seeping in for the standalone Charlie Cox show, Daredevil: Born Again. As Echo transcends into the Daredevil show, there are two parts to the same jigsaw puzzle, making it even more special.

So, while we dissect Echo, we might have found clues to many things that will happen in Daredevil: Born Again, too. The studio is busy developing the show as we speak. The new team behind the scenes after the revamp and reshuffle includes the writer of Netflix’s The Punisher, Dario Scardapane, as the showrunner. He has also written a fresh pilot for the Cox-led show and two additional episodes. Loki director duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have both been hired to direct the show.

So when the complete haul has led to shaping a show that looks very interesting, there will be many other things in the script that will return from the old storyline. And the fact that Netflix shows are now MCU canon makes smooth cross-pollination even more possible. So today, we list down all the past characters and actors reprising their parts in the MCU show from the Netflix timeline.

Kingpin

Let’s talk about the most obvious of them. If you haven’t figured out that Vincent D'Onofrio will return in Daredevil: Born Again as Kingpin, aka Wilson Fisk, and he is the HIM, then you haven’t seen the show properly. The character and the actor both will have a pivotal role to play as both Echo and Matt Murdock both exist in the same timeline and place, with Fisk as a common enemy. Remember the first-episode face-off?

Karen Page

How can Karen not have her time in Daredevil: Born Again? Deborah Ann is set to return to play the part in Born Again and will have the same arc. She is technically Matt Murdock’s legal secretary, employed by him. But what is even more important is that she was his first love interest, and the trajectory is interesting to explore in the new show on Murdock.

Foggy Nelson

Matt Murdock is a man of sarcastic humour and straight-faced jokes. He deserves people around him who balance it well, including his law partner and best friend, Foggy Nelson. The latest update states that Foggy, played by Elden Henson, will return to the Marvel Spotlight show and have his time in Born Again.

Vanessa Fisk

As we already know, Kingpin has a part to play in Daredevil: Born Again, and that means it is high time his world is shown in a much bigger way. Sandrine Holt will be brought back as Vanessa Fisk, Kingpin, aka Wilson Fisk’s wife. It will be fun to see what the makers have in store for this dynamic.

Punisher

The Punisher has had a massive impact on pop culture since he made his way into the standalone show on Netflix. Now that the show is MCU canon, there is news that John Bernthal is returning to play the part in Daredevil: Born Again. The possibility was that even he could return to Echo, but while that was just a possibility, some are sure he will have a place in Born Again.
