While the year is finally on a good note for Marvel, there is still a very intense buzz around Echo, which started streaming on Disney+, Disney+ Hotstar, and Hulu on January 10 across the globe. The show, starring Alaqua Cox in the lead, is now one of the most positively reviewed properties for Marvel Studios in the longest time . Before this, What If...? Season 2 also garnered good reviews, but that show exists in its own timeline. However, Echo is still very much trending as people continue to watch and dissect the show. But now, as we, the ones who have seen the show, look at it in retrospect, all we can think is, will there be a season 2?

Echo Season 2

There are already a lot of theories floating on the internet about Echo’s future. She has gone against Kingpin, one of the most dreadful figures in Marvel comics, in her first live-action standalone project. This means the potential of this character is massive, and the chances that she gets a room in the main gang are at an all-time high. The chatter is that she already has a part to play in Daredevil: Born Again. Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) presence in her show made it clear that there is a connection.

So while we know she is a part of Daredevil Born Again, and that there is a complete plan for the underworld of Marvel comics to be explored, she has too many opportunities. But will there be a second season? If you ask us as viewers, Season 1 was much about an anti-hero finding her feet in the world and trying to make it a better place by taking down a man who wants to destroy it. So Echo definitely deserves to have a second season where she is now a seasoned character with a proper setup for her own.

But What Does Marvel Say

The studio has still maintained silence and not announced anything on the second season of Echo. However, Kevin Feige has already confirmed that they now look forward to developing stories about niche characters and developing them enough to have a room in the main timeline, with multiple seasons for their standalone shows. This hints at the fact that Echo will have another season considering it is a lucrative property and one that also has audience validation now.

Who Can Have A Second Run In Echo 2?

Echo is about Alaqua Cox at the end of the day, and she will have to return to play Maya Lopez. Vincent D’Onofrio will return to play Kingpin. Charlie Cox may return as Daredevil too. Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs can also have a second run since they are still alive in the MCU.

What Is Echo About & Is It Worth

5 months from the events of Hawkeye, Echo takes place in her hometown where she returns to breathe for a while as the entire underworld is behind her after she shot Kingpin in the eye. The show explores Echo’s transformation from wanting to turn the world upside down to now wanting to save it. As Kingpin returns, the challenge is increased.

The show turned out to be the first Marvel Studios’ project ever to be rated TV-MA in history. There is blood, gore, violence, and much more.
