Dasara: Nani, Keerthy Suresh's rustic drama formally launched with a pooja ceremony

Actor Nani, after two OTT releases V and Tuck Jagadish, brought back audiences to theatres in huge numbers with his successful reincarnation drama Shyam Singha Roy, directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Post the OTT release of Shyam Singha Roy on Netflix, the adoration for Nani has grown by leaps and bounds. Now, the Ashta Chemma actor is set to commence work on his next, Dasara, to be helmed by the first-timer Srikanth Odela. 

Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu, Viraata Parvam producer Sudhakar Cherukuri is bankrolling Dasara under his banner, Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas. The film features National Award-Winning actress Keerthy Suresh as the leading lady. The much anticipated film was formally launched earlier this week with a pooja ceremony. Besides the lead actors Nani and Keerthy Suresh, directors Sukumar, Tirumala Kishore, Venu Udugula and Sarath Mandava had graced the launch event as guests. 

While director Srikanth’s father Chandraiah had switched on the camera, directors Tirumala Kishore, Sudhakar Cherukuri and Srikanth Odela handed over the film’s script to the team. Dasara will have Nani playing a massy, action-packed role in a story set in a village situated in Singareni Coal Mines in Godavarikhani. The makers label it an intense drama. The film's glimpse was released commemorating Dasara and had earned decent responses.

Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar and Zarina Wahab play supporting roles in the film for which Santhosh Narayanan composes the music. Sathyan Sooryan ISC has been roped in as the cinematographer, with editor Navin Nooli and production designer Avinash Kolla also part of the crew. Vijay Chaganti is the executive producer. The filming of Dasara will commence in March, 2022.
