Dasvi is gearing up for its OTT release soon. Yami Gautam, who essays a pivotal role in the film, recently opened up about working with her co-stars Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur.
According to a report in the news agency IANS, Gautam talked about some delightful moments she shared with the pair during the film’s shoot. All praise for Bachchan, the actress said that she was ‘surprised’ when she saw his first look. She talked about how the first impression she got from him was that of a ‘brilliant’ character, and said that Bachchan worked hard on the character and carried it off well. “I just cannot imagine anybody pulling it off the way he did. He just had fun with the character," she said.
She also said that Bachchan had helped her with her character, especially getting the dialogues right and portraying her character realistically. She said she also took classes to work on her Hayryanvi diction.
Speaking of Kaur, Gautam said that they had just one scene together, but they had fun together and were laughing on sets. The actress said that such small moments had made filming a ‘memorable and special’ experience for her.
In the film, Bachchan stars as a politician sent to prison for a scam case, who decides to get his diploma. Kaur stars as his wife, while Gautam essays the role of an IPS officer.
The upcoming film, written by Ritesh Shah,Suresh Nair and Sandeep Leyzell, is the directorial debut of Tushar Jalota. Shivam Roy Prabhakar, Manu Rishi Chadha, Arun Kushwaha, Shivankit Singh Parihar, and Sumit Shekhar Rai also feature in the film, which is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan (Maddock Films) and Bake My Cake Films.
Dasvi will premiere on Netflix and Jio Cinema on April 7.
