DD Next Level on OTT: Netizens have mixed reactions for Santhanam’s new movie
Directed by Prem Anand, who worked with Santhanam in DD Returns, the film is a horror comedy from the film franchise Dhilluku Dhuddu. It is a standalone story, and follows Santhanam, who plays a film reviewer Kissa 47. After he gets invited to a special screening along with his family, Kissa 47 realises that he has been pulled into the screenplay and must escape along with his family before the end credits roll. Otherwise, he will be stuck inside the film, to be followed up with a sequel.
DD Next Level released in theatres on May 16 and did not get many favourable reviews. But that seems to be the case with its OTT release as well. The film has not created much noise, and the few who have watched it have given middling to decent reviews, with some not liking the film. Here are some of the reactions on X:
