Desher Mati actress Shruti Das celebrates five years of her serial, Trinayani

Shruti Das was last seen as Pakhi in the serial Ranga Bou on Zee Bangla. She will make her debut on the big screen with Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s film, Amar Boss, with Rakhee Gulzar. She shared a touching post on her birthday. 

Shruti Das became a popular face on television in a short time. She recently celebrated her fifth year in the television industry and shared an emotional post.

The serial Ranga Bou ended in a year after running for months, and Shruti’s career took a step up. She will share the screen with Srabanti Chatterjee and Rakheer Guljar in the film Amar Boss. 

Shruti, hailing from Katwa, started her career with the serial Trinayani. Now she lives in Kolkata. Shruti got emotional about completing five years in the industry after her first serial.

In her post, Shruti wrote, “Five years back, I ruled every household at 8 pm for one and a half years. The loved ones of that Katwa girl shed emotional tears seeing her holding her head high. Her enemies got angry, but saw her in many hoardings.”

How did her parents feel seeing her on the screen? Shruti wrote, “You are not only my daughter. You are both my son and daughter,’ my mother said.” 

“Today is Nayan’s (of Trinayani) birthday. Today is the birthday of Sahana Dutta’s Trinayani and the day I became a mother. Today is the birthday of Swarnendu Samaddar my guru and mentor. Happy birthday to me.” the actress wrote. 

Shruti and Swarnendu fell for each other while working. Shruti opened her heart to the director. Though Swarnendu was initially skeptical, he later gave in to the love. After Trinayani, Shruti appeared in Desher Mati. Then, after a long gap, she returned with the serial Ranga Bou. 

Shruti and Swarnendu had a registry marriage in 2023. It was held in private, with the presence of the families and a few friends. They said that they might have a social marriage in 2025. They are the love birds of the TV industry. They also bought a flat to live with each other after the marriage.
