Dhadak 2 trailer, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, was always expected to have a plot that works, but the makers have tried to weave the magic of the first film, which was anyway inspired from Nagraj Manjule's Sairat. Dhadak 2, like the films, runs high on dialogues and nostaglic music. Although the performances do appear promising, the actors are yet to showcase their true talent. Watch the trailer here...
Dhadak 2 trailer promises to be on the same lines as the previous films. The movie is about major caste difference between lovers and how the society treats them - a story we are well-versed with. The music in the trailer hits a nostalgic spot, but the dialogues really shine. While the performances do look promising, there's no telling where will it go. The one major factor that does not work is Siddhant Chaturvedi's make-up. The actor has layers of make-up on to look like he's from the lower caste, which evidently comes to the fore and leaves you with an instant 'why?'

Set in Rajasthan, Dhadak focused on the love story between a young boy and girl. The movie became a huge hit thanks to it being the launchpad for Sridevi-Boney Kapoor's daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's step-brother Ishaan Khatter.
Dhadak 2, on the other hand, is focused on Siddhant and Triptii bringing their absolute best after the kind of career graph they have to their credit. The two are, however, yet to set that benchmark. The real winner in Dhadak 2, apart from the dialogues, is the antagonist played by Saurabh Sachdeva. Even in a glimpse, he steals the limelight while the leads struggle to keep their love alive.
Dhadak 2 is the story of Nilesh (Siddhant) and Vidhi (Triptii), who fall in love while studying in the same class. Despite him realizing the differences in their caste, she believes in the relationship and demands he hold on with her. Nonetheless, they are faced with challenges, both small and huge. Can they overcome these challenges, is what Dhadak 2 questions. The Shazia Iqbal directorial is scheduled for theatrical release on August 1, 2025.
