Tamil star Dhanush is in a league of his own. It wouldn't be wrong to say that he's peerless when it comes to the sort of place he holds in the Indian film ecosystem. Composer Sean Roldan recently reinforced that belief by revealing a significant project that Dhanush is working on.
He suggested that Dhanush immediately wanted to pursue that project after Pa Paandi in 2017. However, the star felt that the timing was not right to launch it.
"Dhanush and I had plans to work on other projects after PaPandi. We discussed a few big ideas that had the potential to redefine the trends of cinema. But, we felt that the time was not conducive to making that film. It's a very futuristic idea," Sean Roldan said at an event in Chennai.

Sean, however, promised that he was in talks with Dhanush and would collaborate with him again soon. "We want to do something great. So we are waiting," he revealed.
Dhanush's big plans
Sean also disclosed that even though he hasn't worked with Dhanush for a very long time, the friendship between them has remained unaffected. "PaPandi helped us to form a strong camaraderie. We are very comfortable with each other and we talk freely without any reservations," he noted.
Dhanush seems to be in the process of expanding his reach and influence beyond Indian cinema. He has been pursuing projects simultaneously in multiple languages and has emerged as a true pan-world star in his own right.
At the moment, Dhanush has a diverse range of projects in the works. While his contemporaries seem to be chasing an image, Dhanush seems fully invested in building a stellar body of work.
Dhanush is now awaiting the release of Raayan, which he has written and directed, in addition to playing the lead role. He is also shooting for Kubera, a socio-cultural drama set against the backdrop of Mumbai's Dharavi slums.
