Dhanush's upcoming romantic comedy, Thiruchitrambalam is all set to hit screens on July 28 on the occasion of the actor's birthday. Directed by Mithran Jawhar, Thiruchitrambalam, is said to be a family drama. The film has three leading ladies, Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Raashi Khanna.The star cast also includes Bharathiraja and Prakash Raj

The plot of Thiruchitrambalam is set in two time periods- that of the protagonist’s college days and his adulthood. The lead characrer has two love interests, one during the college portions and another in the latter part of his life. Thiruchitrambalam marks the fourth collaboration between Dhanush and PS Mithran. They had earlier worked together in Kutty, Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Uthamaputhiran.

Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, and cinematography is by Om Prakash. While Anirudh is a frequent collaborator with Dhanush, Om Prakash, too, had teamed up with the actor inAnegan, Maari, Maari 2 and Pattas. Prasanna GK, who debuted with Balaji Mohan's Maari, is the editor. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies is releasing Thiruchitrambalam. 

Dhanush's last few films -Karthick Naren's Maaran, Karthik Subbaraj's Jagame Thandhiram and Anand L Rai's Hindi romantic drama, Atrangi Re,had skipped the theatrical release due to the pandemic. So fans of the actor are excited to see him on the big screen.

In the meantime, Dhanush is teaming up with his brother Selvaraghavan in Naane Varuven, is doing Vaathi with Venky Atluri, and the Hollywood thriller, The Gray Man, helmed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The trailer of the Hollywood flick was released yesterday and Dhanush is called a Lethal Force in the character poster. He will be sharing screen space with Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Regé-Jean Page, Wagner Moura, Julia Butters, Alfre Woodard, and Billy Bob Thornton. Dhanush is also said to be teaming up with Karnan director Mari Selvaraj for a film.
