Dheeren Ramkumar’s debut outing Shiva 143 to release in theatres on August 26

Dheeren Ramkumar, the grandson of matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar, becomes the new entrant to the grand acting legacy of the family. The young actor is part of the third generation of potential superstars along with his sister Dhanya Ramkumar and cousins Vinay and Yuva Rajkumar. Dheeren’s launch into the world of cinema, though, has had to endure a few delays, owing to the pandemic and other factors, but the wait is finally over as his debut Shiva 143 gets an official release date.

Shiva 143 now joins the long list of exciting Kannada films releasing in August, along with the likes of Gaalipata 2, Monsoon Raaga, Ravi Bopanna, and others.

Dheeren Ramkumar took to social media to share this new exciting update with his fans. Shiva 143 has been directed by Anil Kumar of Raambo 2 fame with Tagaru girl Manvitha Kamath playing the female lead. The film, although unconfirmed by the makers, is reportedly a remake of the Telugu hit RX 100 (starring Kartikeya Gummakonda and Payal Rajput) and the trailer of the former, which was released months ago, reveals a gritty and intense love story in store.

On the other hand, Dheeren will collaborate with Badava Rascal director Shankar Guru for his second film which shall be produced by Kishore Pathikonda of James fame. In a recent exclusive chat with OTTplay, Shankar Guru revealed that his prime focus is on delivering a bona fide commercial hit and that the upcoming film is likely to feature prominent elements of a family drama and romance. Shankar also added that he was charmed by Dheeren Ramkumar's desire to be part of credible work and that he is treating this project as his debut.
