PremiumDhootha director Vikram K Kumar unveils Thika Maka Thanda trailer, film set for mid-December release
Ramakrishna, Harikrishna, Venkat and Annie play crucial roles in the rural drama

Writer, director Vikram K Kumar, the maker behind films like Manam, Thank You and 13B, returned to form with the recent OTT release Dhootha, streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The filmmaker, today, launched the trailer of a small-budget film titled Thika Maka Thanda, headlined by Ramakrishna, Harikrishna, Venkat, Rekha Nirosha and Annie. The film is directed by Venkat.
The story revolves around a fictitious village, comprising a bunch of eccentric characters. The drama escalates when a prestigious idol of Goddess Durga is stolen from a temple and the residents are out to find answers. Thika Maka Thanda promises to be a rooted rural drama with a good mix of emotions, romance, humour and action. The film is gearing up for a release on December 15.
Shiva Narayana, Bobby Bedi, Yadamma Raju, Bullet Bhasker, Rocket Raghava, Rama Chandra, Gowry Shanker and Sujatha form the supporting cast. BN Niroop Kumar has written the story and screenplay for the rural drama which has music by Suresh Bobbili. Kumar Nirmala Srujan, besides his inputs for the screenplay, is also the editor and VFX director for the project.
Thirupathi Srinivasa Rao is bankrolling the rural drama under TSR Movie Makers. Hari Krishnan has cranked the camera for the same while Harika Potta is the costume designer. Srinivas is the art director. Sony Music Entertainment has acquired the audio rights. Ohho Puththadi Bommaa, Thopule Veellu, Evaru Thaanu and other songs have drawn the attention of music buffs in the recent months.
The teaser, released earlier this year, has garnered over 1.5 million views already. Vikram K Kumar had kind words to share about the film, appreciating the trailer and the premise. He conveyed his wishes to the cast, crew and the producers. The makers plan to organise a pre-release event soon.
