Dhootha star Naga Chaitanya reveals what made him say to the Vikram Kumar series

Dhootha marks the OTT debut of Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya. He has teamed up with director Vikram Kumar for this series which will be out on December 1, 2023, on Amazon Prime Video.

The makers have started the promotions and Naga Chaitanya is going all out for the same. Speaking in one of his interviews, Naga Chaitanya says that it is the story and unique layers in his character that made him say yes to the show.

Naga Chaitanya will be seen as a journalist in the show and says "The detailing in the script attracted me the most. My character had many twists and turns and how they unleashed in the narrative was the best part for me to say yes. The moment I knew Vikram Kumar would direct the show, there was no looking back."

Prachi Desai plays the female lead in this show which is a psychological thriller about media. Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar will also be seen in key roles. The shooting of the series was wrapped up long back but the makers chose December 2023 as the release.

Dhootha" unfolds the harrowing tale of Sagar, an investigative journalist whose life takes a dark turn as he exposes the ominous secrets hidden behind newspapers predicting tragic events. The series has generated significant buzz following the release of its trailer on Prime Video.

Naga Chaitanya's portrayal of Sagar promises a compelling watch and he says that his fans will be quite satisfied after seeing him in such a different role. "I have come out of my comfort zone and I hope everyone will like it" ends Naga Chaitanya.
