Dhruva Natchathiram starring Chiyaan Vikram and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon is a long awaited project. The latest news is that Vikram has begun dubbing for the action thriller.
According to a report by Times of India, Vikram has teamed up with Menon and has started the dubbing for the movie, which has been in development limbo for over five years.
The report suggests that Vikram has initiated Menon to resume the project and get it ready for release. While Vikram is working on dubbing his parts, the director will begin work on the patchwork needed.
Dhruva Natchathiram has been in production as early as 2016, but was put on hold two years later due to financial constraints. Reportedly, the movie will get help from a production house that has recently worked closely with Menon.
Touted to be a stylish spy thriller, the film’s cast also includes Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Simran, Raadhika, Parthiban, and Dhivya Dharshini among others, while Vinayakan is said to be playing the antagonist.
The movie’s music is composed by Harris Jayaraj while Anthony handles the editing.
The movie’s makers had released a teaser for the project back in January 2017. The teaser, which featured Vikram in a stylish avatar, has clocked over 22 million views on YouTube.
Vikram, who was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj’s action drama Mahaan, is also awaiting the release of R. Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Cobra and Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus, Ponniyin Selvan: I. The actor will be eyeing back to back releases, with the production of Dhruva Natchathiram restarting.
Mahaan, which also stars Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram, is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
