RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead was released across the world as one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the period action drama, went on to dominate the box office. The movie has also been receiving a lot of praise from foreign filmmakers following its OTT release and the latest to do so is Scott Derrickson, who helmed Doctor Strange.

Scott took to Twitter to share a GIF from the movie, and wrote, “To celebrate my birthday last night, my wife, kids and I watched @RRRMovie — what an awesomely outrageous roller coaster of a movie. Loved it.”

The director’s tweet was shared by DVV Entertainments, who are the makers of RRR. “From the director of Doctor Strange Thank you Scott :) #RRRMovie,” wrote the makers.

Apart from helming the highly successful Doctor Strange, Derrickson has also directed movies such as The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Day the Earth Stood Still, Deliver Us from Evil and The Black Phone.

RRR hit theatres on March 25 and received positive reviews from critics. The movie also went on to collect over Rs. 1000 crores at the worldwide box office, making it only the third movie to achieve this feat.

“RRR is an extremely well-made period drama that plays to the galleries and still doesn't forget its purpose of telling a gripping story. Jr NTR, Ram Charan come up with fantastic performances and become one with their iconic characters,” read the movie’s review on OTTplay.

Also starring Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson and Olivia Morris in important roles, the Hindi version of the movie is available to stream on Netflix while the Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam versions are available on ZEE5.
