Double XL teaser: Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi prepare viewers for 'double fun'

Actors Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi have collaborated for the upcoming film ‘Double XL', directed by Satramm Ramani of Helmet fame. The film will drop in cinemas on November 4, despite being earlier scheduled to release on October 14.

A comedy-drama that delves into the journey of two plus-size women as they navigate society’s harsh and unrealistic beauty standards, ‘Double XL’ centres around Rajshree Trivedi, played by Qureshi from Meerut and Saira Khanna, played by Sinha, from New Delhi. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor has recently opened up about the film, claiming it to be for those who, “dare to dream big” due to its delicate handling of honest and relatable topics. 

Both actors have been consistent in posting updates regarding the film on their social media handles. Most recently, they dropped a poster for the film featuring the two of them stacked with shopping bags and wide grins; accompanied by a caption that expressed that the two characters together equated to double the trouble. Along with that, they promise viewers for double the fun, double the excitement, and double the entertainment. Commenters have been quick to jump in with anticipation, eagerly awaiting the film. Sonakshi’s other upcoming releases include Nikita Roy And The Book Of Darkness, a movie which is being directed by her brother Kussh S Sinha. It is being produced by Nicky Bhagnani, Vicky Bhagnani and Ankur Takrani under the Kratos Entertainment, Kinjal Ghone of Nikita Pai Films, and Dinesh Gupta of Murliwale Pictures banners. This movie will also star Paresh Rawal and Suhail Nayyar and is said to release in 2023.

‘Double XL’ is directed by Satramm Ramani and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Rajesh Bahl and Ashwin Varde, Saqib Saleem, Huma Qureshi and Mudassar Aziz under the T-Series banner. It also stars Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra in other crucial roles.

This movie is all set to hit the big screens on November 4, 2022.
