Dream Girl 2: Ayushmann Khurrana challenges ‘Tiger' Salman Khan as he announces Pooja will be back on Eid?

Ayushmann Khurrana has announced his upcoming movie Dream Girl 2. The actor has actually announced that Pooja will be back on Eid. Was that a direct challenge to Salman Khan, who also revealed that he would bring Tiger 3 on Eid? Not really.

Salman had announced that he would release Tiger 3 on Eid 2023 (in April). Now, Ayushmann Khurrana has made the quirky announcement for Dream Girl 2. He has informed his viewers that Pooja will be back on Eid 2023 (in June).

Not just that, Ayushmann has also introduced the new cast members of his film. The latest entrant is Ananya Panday. She replaces Nushratt Bharuccha from the original film.

Dream Girl 2 will see a few actors reprise their roles while others enter the cast. Annu Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh and Vijay Raaz would be reprising their roles. This time, Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi and Rajpal Yadav join the cast.

It is still unclear whether Rajesh Sharma or Nidhi Bisht will be reprising their roles from the original film. Vedika Bhandari, who played the original Pooja in the film, might or might not be back this time. There is no clarity on that either.

Dream Girl featured Ayushmann Khurrana in the role of a man who has charmed every other man by pretending to be a telemarketing woman. The 2019 release, helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa is now available for streaming on Zee5.

Dream Girl 2, slated to release on July 29, is shot in Mathura. Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms returns as the producer of the much-awaited project.

On the other hand, Salman Khan's Tiger 3 is slated for April 21, 2023 release. The year surely has a lot of surprises for Eid already and more might just be in the pipeline!
