Drishyam 2 starring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Tabu was one of the most eagerly awaited movies of 2022. The sequel to the same-named 2015 smash hit's rising box office performance is a welcome break from Bollywood's recent slump. The third week of the Abhishek Pathak-directed film's theatrical run has started off splendidly. Now the day 15 box office collentions indicate that Drishyam 2 may shortly reach Rs 200 crore.

On November 18, Drishyam 2 had a spectacular opening weekend, earning Rs 15.38 crore. Since then, the movie's box office success has been unstoppable. Drishyam 2 is still making money in its third week of release thanks to buzz surrounding the movie, favourable word of mouth, and positive reviews. In fact, it won't surprise anyone if the movie rapidly passes the 200 crore mark at the ticket window.

Drishyam 2 collected about Rs 4.30 crore at the box office on Day 14. As a result, the movie was able to earn a total of Rs 163.47 crore at domestic box offices. On Day 14, Drishyam 2's Hindi occupancy was 13.34% overall. On day 15, the film earned 4.45 cr, which makes the total collection of the film 167.92 cr. 

The emotional thriller Drishyam tells the story of Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn), a cable operator whose life revolves around movies and his family, including wife Nandini (Shriya Saran) and daughters Anju and Anu. In the movie, Tabu portrays IG Meera Deshmukh. Ajay portrayed Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam, a man who does everything to protect his family when his daughter unintentionally murders a young boy.

Vijay disposes of the boy's body, gets rid of all the evidence. The popular Malayalam film of the same name starring Mohanlal, directed by National Award-winning director Nishikant Kamat, was remade into Hindi as Drishyam. After that, the plot is continued in Abhishek Pathak's Drishyam 2.
