Mohanlal-starrer Drishyam 2: The Resumption, that released on Amazon Prime Video, is one of the most widely acclaimed films of 2021 in Malayalam cinema. Soon after the movie was released, talks about it being remade in various languages began. Days after speculation about the film being remade in Hindi began, now the news about the movie getting its Chinese adaptation has started floating. For the unaware, Drishyam was also remade in Chinese as Sheep Without A Shepherd.

According to various reports, the second instalment of this Chinese film is expected to go on floors soon. The shoot is slated to begin in October and November. The reports further state that the film is likely to release in the summer of 2022. Meanwhile, back in Bollywood, fans are eagerly waiting to see Ajay Devgn play the lead role in Drishyam 2's Hindi remake. The actor had reprised Drishyam in Hindi, with Sriya Saran playing his wife and Tabu as his nemesis.

The actor has not yet confirmed the project, even though there are speculations about Drishyam 2 being remade in Hindi too. The news would also not come as a surprise considering that the Hindi version of Drishyam was also critically acclaimed and performed decently at the box office.
