Dulquer Salmaan has already had two films released in the third month of the year. That should give one an impression of the actor's rapid pace of work. But DQ wouldn't have it any other way, and he's quite content to alternate between Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films.
During an interaction with Mid Day, when Dulquer was asked if it gets a little frantic, the actor said that it's difficult to be everywhere all of the time. It's great, too, because he gets to work in a variety of businesses and cultures, as well as with directors and actors.
Dulquer explains that he's a rare scenario where I'm juggling so many things.
The OK Kanmani star is looking forward to two Hindi projects, R Balki's Chup: The Revenge of the Artist and Raj and DK's Guns & Gulaabs, after Hey Sinamika in Tamil and Salute in Malayalam.
Chup is a psychological thriller in which he will appear alongside Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwanthary. The motion poster, which was presented on Guru Dutt's death anniversary last year and featured a portrait of the great filmmaker followed by the names of the stars in the film, is as intriguing as the cast.
Dulquer told the tabloid that in October, he finished Balki's film. The actor adores him as a director, as he's always cheerful on set. Chup is a script he has never heard of before, and Dulquer describes it as "nearly experimental."
Meanwhile, in Dehradun, the actor is now filming for the Netflix series Guns and Gulaabs.
In a recent interview with OTTplay, Dulquer expressed his delight in the process of learning a new language. The actor was quite familiar with three of these four languages. His second language was Hindi, and his third was Tamil. In addition, the college he attended in the US had a sizable Indian population. So, after four years, DQ knew how to speak Marathi, Gujarati, and Telugu; at some point, every Indian speaks their mother tongue.
